The Financial Services Division manages general financial operations of Central School District 13J. Our Team provides accountability to the public for all business operations which includes Budget Management, Revenue Forecasting, Financial Reporting, Grant Accounting, Purchasing, and Risk Management.

Zones 1, 4, 5, and 6

 

The Central School District 13J, Board of Directors, is seeking patrons to serve on the 2023-24 School Year Budget Committee for zones 1, 4, 5, and 6. (Description below) To be eligible, an applicant must live in the district in an open zone; not be an officer or employee of the district; and be a qualified voter of the district. If the Board does not receive qualified candidates from within a zone, an out-of-zone appointment may be made.

 

Interested parties should submit a letter of interest to the School Board. By Mail: c/o Paula McGahey 750 S. Applications MUST BE RECEIVED by March 14, 2023 @ 3:30 p.m. The Board will review applicants and make appointments at their regular meeting on April 03, 2023, to be held at 750 S. Fifth Street, Independence, OR at 6:30 p.m.  For more information, please call 503-606-2251. The Budget Committee typically meets April-June of each year. A committee seat term is 3 years.

Zone 4- Area of the City of Monmouth west of Pacific Highway and north of Jackson Street (within the city limits) Term Expires: 06/30/22

Zone 5- Area of the City of Monmouth west of Pacific Highway and south of Jackson Street (within the city limits only) Term Expires: 06/30/22

Zone 6- Area of the district in Polk County outside of the cities of Monmouth and Independence and north of Monmouth and Independence and the Monmouth-Falls City State Highway- Term Expires: 06/30/24

Notice of Central School District 13J Budget Meetings for FY 23-34

 

Public meetings of the Budget Committee of Central School District 13J, Polk County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for fiscal year July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024, are held in April, May, and June, in the Henry Hill Education Center Board Room, 750 S. 5th Street, Independence, Oregon. All meetings can be viewed streaming on the “Info Central 13J”  YouTube channel.

 

The FOURTH public meeting of the 2023-24 CSD13J Budget Committee, will be held June 5, 2023 at 5:30 pm. This meeting is to receive budget documents and public comments. To present a comment, email your name, method of attendance (in person or virtual), and topic of comment to pmcgahey@central.k12.or.us by 12:00 pm, June 5, 2023 or in writing at the District Office before the meeting begins. Those wishing to comment will be called on by name during the meeting. (Virtual participants should unmute their microphone when their name is called).

  

Budget documents may be inspected on or after June 5th, 2023 at 750 S. 5th Street, Independence, Oregon, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm or via email request to pmcgahey@central.k12.or.us.
