Public meetings of the Budget Committee of Central School District 13J, Polk County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, have concluded and the budget has been full adopted by the district School Board.
Thank you to the committee members as well as the Central School District's finance team who worked so hard to do what is best for our students and families!

Zones 1 ,4, 5, 6 and 7
The Central School District 13J, Board of Directors, is seeking candidates to serve on the Budget committee representing Zones 1 ,4, 5, 6 and 7. (See below) To be eligible, an applicant must live in the district in an open zone; not be an officer or employee of the district, and be a qualified voter of the district. If the Board does not receive qualified candidates from within a zone, an out-of-zone appointment may be made.
If interested, please submit a letter of interest to the School Board telling WHY YOU ARE INTERESTED in serving on the Budget Committee and WHAT QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE you feel you have to contribute to the budget committee process. Also, please include best contact information and your zone of residence.
Letters can be submitted via Hard Copy: Central School District 13J, 750 S. Fifth Street, Independence, OR 97351. OR Email: pmcgahey@central.k12.or.us OR Google Form: ((--no longer accepting responses–)).
All applications MUST BE RECEIVED by March 22, 2024 @ 4:00 p.m.
The Board will review applicants and make appointments at their regular scheduled meeting to be held at 750 S. Fifth Street, Independence, OR. For more information, please call 503-606-2251 or email pmcgahey@central.k12.or.us. The Budget Committee typically meets April-June of each year. Committee seat term is 3 years.
