Volunteer Resources
VOLUNTEER
Central School District 13J values the important role volunteers play in supporting students, staff, schools, and the broader school community. Volunteers help strengthen learning opportunities, support student success, and build positive school-community partnerships through classroom support, field trips, school events, mentoring, athletics, library assistance, and other school programs. The purpose of the volunteer program is to provide meaningful opportunities for families and community members to support District schools while maintaining a safe, respectful, and well-supervised environment for students. To support student safety and ensure volunteers are prepared for their role, all volunteers must complete the District’s volunteer approval process before participating in volunteer activities.
Volunteer applications must be completed each school year, and processing may take up to two weeks depending on application completion, background check processing, and District approval.
