In anticipation for registration, you will need the following things to register your child:

  1. Proof of birthdate
  2. Proof of immunization records
  3. Proof of address

The following are approved documents for proof of address:

  • Rental agreement, Escrow papers, Current homeowners insurance statement, Utility bill or deposit receipt for new utility service; Gas, Electric, Water, less than 30 days old.

CSD13j InterDistrict Transfer Process

  • For students who’s custodians live outside of the CSD13j boundaries, but would like to attend a school within our boundaries, the “InterDistrict Transfer” process is followed.

    1. The parent begins by visiting the District Office of their HOME (current) District and completes their InterDistrict Transfer application.
    2. The home district Superintendent or designee will approve or deny the request for the student to leave the District.
    3. If approved, the application is forwarded to Central School District’s Superintendent to approve or deny.
    4. If approved, the family will receive a message from Central School District as to the next steps of enrollment.

If a student moves outside of our School District during the school year, they may complete the year in our District and do not need to follow this process until the following year. In a case like this, please contact your school office to update your mailing address and contact information.

InterDistrict Transfer status may be revoked due to attendance or behavior issues. For example, if a student is 10-Day Dropped (missing 10 consecutive days of school), the transfer will be revoked and the student will be transferred back to their home school in their residing District.

Students enrolled in Central School District through a InterDistrict Transfer must reapply at the end of 5th and 8th grade (when students are promoted to Talmadge Middle School or Central High School).

Transferring in or out of Central School District

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) requires that students have a release approved by their resident school district before being accepted into a new district. Parents wishing to transfer their student to Central School District must contact their resident school district. Parents wishing to transfer their student to another district must complete an Inter-District Transfer Form.

Transferring within Central School District

Parents requesting their child be transferred to a school outside their neighborhood boundary school may do so by filling out an Intra-District Transfer Form. Transportation to and from school outside your boundary is the responsibility of the family. All transfers are reviewed on a case by case basis and may take up to 10 days.
