Central School District is made up of a dedicated group of teachers, administrators and staff working diligently to help students excel academically, while becoming confident and self-reliant young adults.  We are committed to open, honest and ongoing communication with our internal staff as well as our parents, students, community and other stakeholders.

Central School District is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley, serving the communities of Monmouth, Independence and other rural areas.  Our mission is to prepare students for the future by understanding and developing their potential to the highest possible academic and ethical standards.

We believe schools are for everyone, that students perform their best when they feel accepted and valued and that students can achieve when given appropriate support.  Our diverse population of students is a reflection of our community.  We seek enhanced learning through active partnerships with students, parents and community members.

Central School District provides a curriculum that evokes passion and promotes personal and social development, ensures basic skills that prepare students for their future with a competitive advantage, engages students and the community in an environment where all people feel they belong, establishes and nurtures partnerships within our community, and continuously strives to improve. The success and achievement of our students is our top priority. We will engage every child in programs that are valuable, successful and relevant.  We will help all children to feel they are a part the school and have ownership in it.

Welcome to Central!
