To Parents and friends of Henry Hill,

     Welcome to Henry Hill School. We are located at 750 S 5th Street in Independence, Oregon. HHES is a kindergarten through fifth-grade school with an enrollment that averages around 280 students. The office is open 7:30 AM - 4:40 PM. School hours are 8:15 AM to 1:35 PM on Mondays, and 8:15 AM to 2:50 PM Tuesday through Fridays. The lunch time/ recess is from 11:00 AM until 12:40 PM depending on the grade.

         As part of our Parent Involvement plan, Henry Hill Elementary offers Family Literacy nights once a month. The nights are designed to encourage increased literacy skills for the whole family. There are activities for all ages and generally there is a light meal offered for everyone. Please refer to the school calendar for information about the date and time for these events.

     Parents, please remember that Henry Hill students are encouraged to read at least twenty minutes everyday. This is our homework program. The student scores show that those who are consistent readers continue to score higher on their  school assessments.

     Please be reminded that regular attendance is very important. Regular school attendance is vital to student success and good habits. Please help your child arrive at school on time and regularly. Our school is not the same without each and every child!
