December School Board Meeting Moved to December 8th - Wednesday, November 19, 2014

The School Board meeting scheduled for December 1st has been moved to December 8th.  The location remains the School Board room at the District Office, 6:30 p.m.

 
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM Schedule November 20 - December 1, 2014 - Monday, November 17, 2014

The last day of ELEMENTARY AFTER THE BELL and TALMADGE COUGAR ZONE is Thursday, November 20th, and will resume after the Thanksgiving holiday on Monday, December 1st, when the regular schedule will resume.

CHS/PAC - No PAC on Friday, November 21st.   Thanksgiving week - PAC on Monday, November 24 and Tuesday, November 25th ONLY.  Regular schedule will commence on December 1st following the Thanksgiving holiday.

About the Business Office

The Business Services department processes the district payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and District requisitions and purchases orders. Special revenue grants, District Lunch Program, athletics funds, and other fiduciary fund types are monitored in this department.

Parent Right to Request Information

Parents and guardians of a student in Central School District who is receiving Federal Title I funds, has the right to know the qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct your child, and statistical information about your child's school.

Federal law allows you to ask for certain information about your child's teacher and requires the school to give you this information in a timely manner, if you ask for it.

You have the right to request the following:

*   Whether the teacherr has met Oregon Dept of Education qualifications and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas he or she teacher;

*  Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which the Oregon Dept of Education qualification or licensing criteria have been waived;

*  The teacher's college major; whether the teacher has any advanced degrees, an if so, the subject of the degrees; and

*  If your child receives services from any instructional assistant or paraprofessionals and whether or not they are certified as 'highly qualified.'
