About Federal Programs

Our Objective
The primary objective of this District program is to provide the instruction and support required to help English Language Learners (ELL) attain the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills they need to reach the same high academic standards the District expects of all students.

Educational Approach
The Central School District's English Language Learner (ELL) Plan provides services to students with limited English proficiency so that their language does not constitute a barrier to receiving the same programs, services, and quality of education which the District provides to all students.

The strategies used in the Central School District are those which research has shown to be most effective in promoting English language proficiency and that are most appropriate and practical for a district with Central School District's student population.
