All Central School District 13J Licensed employees working at least 17.5 hours per week and their eligible dependents have the option to purchase additional Life and/or AD&D insurance coverage.

Employees: Are eligible to purchase up to 5 times their annual salary, in increments of $10,000, not to exceed $500,000.

Spouse/Domestic Partner: Employees may purchase up to 100% of the employee purchased amount, in increments of $5,000, not to exceed $500,000.

Child: Employees may purchase up to 100% of the employee purchased amount, in increments of $2,000, not to exceed $10,000.

Note: In order to purchase Life and/or AD&D coverage for dependents, an employee must purchase for themselves.

Rates are determined by age, tobacco or non-tobacco and amount purchased. For additional information regarding coverage or enrollment please contact Carmen Carver, Human Resources Coordinator.

All Central School District 13J Licensed employees working at least 17.5 hours per week are eligible to receive the District paid Life and AD&D insurance coverage. Coverage for active employees begins the first of the month following the date of hire.

This coverage is provided at no cost to the employee. Coverage amounts are determined the Collective Bargaining Agreement. For details regarding coverage amounts please see your agreement or contact Human Resources.

All benefit eligible  Classified, Administrative, Confidential/Supervisory and Specialists are enrolled in the Life and Accidential Death and Dismemberment coverage through OEBB.

OEBB has selected Standard Insurance Company as the carrier. Each employee group is eligible to purchase additional life insurance, above what the District purchases for them. Enrollment details and rates are determined by OEBB and Standard.
